No more koko crunch!!!

I've banned koko crunch frm my children! Dh 2 kali nadhirah tercekik bende alah tuh. The latest one is yesterday noon. After the 1st incident, i kept on reminding Nawfal not to give her sister the thing or anyhting w'out our permission. I think he can't resist to share it wt Nadhirah. Dh adiknye mintak, abg pon bg la... Brotherhood-sisterhood spirit i guess...

Yesterday was even worst frm the 1st time. Smlm mmg panic gile aku, smpai x reti nk buat pe even i've read abt the choking emegencies lately. Trus my babah amik dia *hubby out to the workshop, tonggeng kan & press her stomach. Haa muntah trus! Alhamdulillah... Kluar pon bende tuh & segala isi prot dia... Isk! Trauma tul la aku kalau bab2 tercekik nih... :(

2 times trauma...
hope it'll never happen again ye dik...

So to all parents, pls be careful wt the food k. Kite rs dia dh besa & manage to chew & eat anything. But nothing is impossible. Susu pon baby leh tercekik, ini kan pulak koko crunch. Lesson for me to be more extra careful next time & always...

Here i share the choking emergencies tip frm babyweekly... Hope it'll help you in any ways...

Choking Emergencies

Babies will put anything and everything in their mouths, and this poses a huge risk for choking. If your child is suddenly unable to cry, cough or speak, she probably has something blocking her airway. If she's coughing or gagging, her airway is only partially blocked. Allow her to try to cough it out - it's the best way to free the obstruction. If your child is conscious, but cannot breathe or cough, hold her face down lengthwise on your forearm. Support her head with your hand and position her so her head is lower than the rest of her body, bracing your forearm against your thigh. If your baby is too big for your arm, lay her face down on your lap, making sure her head is lower than the rest of her body. Deliver five firm back blows between her shoulder blades, using the palm of your hand. If she begins coughing or crying, stop and allow her to try to cough up the object. However, if you get no response, you'll need to administer the Heimlich maneuver (these instructions are for children younger than one year old).
  1. Lay your child face up on the ground or on your arm and locate her sternum (imagine a line between her nipples and measure one finger-width down from the middle of that line).
  2. Position two fingers on the lower part of her sternum and give five upward chest thrusts, each about 1/2 to 1 inch deep.
  3. Continue to alternate between the back blows and chest thrusts until the object is dislodged, your baby begins to breathe on her own, she loses consciousness, or medical help arrives.
If your child is unconscious, you'll need to administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). If you haven't yet, sign up for a child CPR class to learn everything you need to know.

notes: she's really into food just like me *i admit it! mengunyah je, sume bende nk rs. then nk pegang & mkn sendiri... so pasni mkn pa pe must be supervised all the time la nih...
